Consumer Tendency Index of Maluku Utara Province 2015

Early information of consumption actors to the economic situation is a very important need for all parties. This early information is greatly needed by the government, the business community, and the public because it is able to provide early signals about the expected economic conditions in the coming months. Since 1995, the Central Bureau of Statistics has developed an Early Indicator Monitoring System, one of which is the Consumer Tendency Index. The Consumer Tendency Index is calculated based on the results of the Consumer Tendency Survey. This publication describes methods and results of calculation of North Maluku Province Consumer Tendency Index in 2015. Up to 2010, the index calculation covers only Jabodetabek area. Beginning in 2011, the calculation of the Consumer Tendency Index also covers areas outside Jabodetabek. The expansion of index coverage is done due to the importance of knowing the current and future economic conditions.
